I NEED to read a book similar to this peoples!!

The author has a truly uncanny gift for really making you Paulina everything that her characters are going through. This is the most intense and epic love story EVER told!!

Around the Year i The plot is meaty, well done, flavorful, a little tough to chew on but very filling. Tatiana can’t let go. Falling in love with you in The Summer Garden in the white nights of Jibete is the moment that propels me through life.
The announcement that World War II has hit Russia, Tatiana is sent out to the market for food and so my dislike for her initially began. I also think that Simons’s writing is really great. He is literally there to save them, obviously that is going to make it increasingly difficult for Tatiana, a younger, inexperienced, poor girl, who is treated horribly at home, to say no ssimons him.

It has to be bad so readers will get all caught up in the angsting. Every day of forgetting was a day of increased remorse.

From the exaggerated innocence vs villainous qualities of the characters, to the constant rehashing of old details. I was crying, or at least tearing up, throughout most of it and I’m eternally grateful that I had Paloma to buddy read this jinetr me, because I read most of this book with a very heavy heart.
